It is a capital plan for the children to keep a calendar––the first oak-leaf, the first tadpole, the first cowslip, the first catkin, the first ripe blackberries, where seen, and when. The next year they will know when and where to look out for their favourites, and will, every year, be in a condition to add new observations. Think of the zest and interest, the object, which such a practice will give to daily walks and little excursions.
Charlotte Mason, Vol. 1 p. 54
Charlotte Mason Kindergarten is offering a free Calendar of Firsts to record ALL your family's first this year! Our family is officially starting our record keeping on September first. When I was designing this calendar, I had such cozy feelings looking at the images! I know we are right in the middle of summer but I have something to look forward to!
The best "thing" about this calendar is the pages are blank except the Month title. Fill in however you please. This little calendar will become a keepsake full of special memories for years to come. Are you new to the Charlotte Mason method ? As an inkling from God I started this brand new rapidly growing Kindergarten group. Although not entirely specific to Kindergarten, we focus on the early years of a Charlotte Mason lifestyle. Join us on facebook...
